Dagmar Schäfer, executive director and head of department III, edited (together with Francesca Bray, Peter Coclanis and Edda Fields-Black) a book about rice. The edited volume is titled »Rice. Global Networks and New Histories« and is published in 2015 by Cambridge University Press.
